Extension requests can be made either on the phone or via email. The request however needs to be made on or before the due date mentioned on the traffic citation. Attending traffic school is allowed only for certain traffic infractions. If you hold a valid non-commercial driver’s license, have not attended traffic school in last 18-months, you are eligible for traffic school. If you have chosen the classroom study course, it is your responsibility to ensure that the traffic school completion certificate is submitted to the DMV on or before the due date.
